This policy separates today’s website from the requirements for a future paid service.
Service status and scope
Ecufilerecovery.com is the service name of this independent project by Oldboy + Boom. This site provides information and local file metadata checks only. It does not accept recovery orders, uploaded files, accounts, deposits or payments. Choosing a local file or viewing an example does not create a purchase contract.
What the local check does
The check uses the filename, extension and size supplied by your browser. It does not read map contents, assess a tune, recover a password, remove a lock or communicate with an ECU. An accepted extension is not confirmation of recoverability. Keep an unchanged original and a separate backup.
Before any future paid order
Before intake or payment opens, we will publish available formats, verified scope, operator and support details, data practices and the total price. Customers must see evidence from their own file and the proposed deliverable before choosing to pay. Failed recovery must not incur a recovery charge. Credit packs are not currently offered for sale.
Your work remains yours
No ownership in your map transfers to us. A future request will require only the limited permission needed to perform the requested work and handle that order. No right to publish, resell, share a tune or use customer files for unrelated purposes is implied.
Recovery is not calibration approval
Restored access does not establish engine safety, calibration quality, hardware compatibility, road legality or emissions compliance. Any future result must be assessed for its intended use by a suitably qualified person. No manufacturer affiliation or endorsement is claimed.
Changes and applicable rights
The policy version and date identify the rules you read. Material changes to a paid service must be disclosed before a new order; a later update must not silently replace agreed order terms. Nothing here excludes rights or remedies that applicable law does not allow to be excluded. Full operator contact and jurisdiction details remain launch requirements.
